Echocardiography
Echocardiography is also called an echo test. This test generates moving pictures of the heart using sound waves. An Echocardiogram helps evaluate various problems with the heart and its function. It
gives information about the heart’s structure and blood flow non-invasively
Holter Monitoring
Holter monitoring is a small device and a few wires hooked up to you for a
period of time requested by your doctor to monitor the electrical activity of your
heart
Ambulatory Blood Pressure
Ambulatory Blood Pressure is your blood pressure being taken by a monitor at
regular intervals over 24 hour period as you move around in your daily normal
life.
Contrast and Saline Studies
A substance called a contrast agent is used to help improve the quality of the images collected. The
contrast is administered by a technologist or nurse using an intravenous (IV) line. A bubble study involves
the injection of saline through an IV line. The use of contrast provides a valuable option for improving
image quality and aiding with certain diagnoses.
Stress Echo
A stress Echocardiogram is a combination of treadmill and 2D Echocardiogram
tests. Its purpose is to detect any electrical and or wall motion abnormality of
your heart
Stress Test
An exercise stress test has a variety of applications. It can be used to determine if there is coronary artery
disease, exercise-induced abnormal cardiac rhythms and your exercise capacity
ECG
An ECG (or EKG) is a quick test where you are hooked up to some wires for a few seconds. It checks for problems with the electrical activity of the heart.
